Lexington, North Carolina, woman LuAnn Chico has won a $100,000 prize for the second time on the same Ruby Red 7’s game, with plans for a beach vacation.
LuAnn Chico of Lexington, North Carolina, is celebrating another $100,000 prize after winning on the same Ruby Red 7’s game that brought her a six-figure prize last year.
Chico previously won $100,000 playing Ruby Red 7’s in August 2025. Now, she has managed to do it again.
“I won again! I’m excited! More this time than last,” Chico said. “I’m thrilled to death.”
The latest win came while Chico was grocery shopping at the Food Lion on North N.C. Highway 150 in Winston-Salem. She decided to play her favourite game and bought a $20 ticket.
When the ticket revealed another $100,000 prize, Chico said she could hardly believe it.
“That’s all it is, it’s luck. I got good luck,” she said with a laugh.
Chico arrived at the lottery headquarters on Monday to claim her latest prize. After state and federal tax withholdings, she received $72,016.
Her previous $100,000 prize went towards her four grandchildren. Chico said they will still receive some of the money from her latest win, but this time she and her husband also have a holiday in mind.
The couple plans to use the new prize for a beach vacation.
For Chico, the second win on the same game has brought another unexpected opportunity to enjoy time with the people closest to her.
