Clinton, British Columbia, resident Darrell B. plans to pay off his mortgage after winning a $100,000 MAXPLUS prize in the July 10 Lotto Max draw.

A routine stop for gas turned into a $100,000 surprise for Clinton, British Columbia, resident Darrell B., who discovered he had won a MAXPLUS prize from the July 10, 2026 Lotto Max draw.

Darrell was at Canco when he found out about the prize and initially struggled to believe what he was seeing.

“I was at Canco when I found out I won,” Darrell recalled. “I scanned the ticket three times, I was in disbelief! Then I took it to the counter to have the retailer double check.”

Once the win was confirmed, Darrell was especially eager to share the news with his sister. Her reaction was emotional.

“She started crying and said she was happy for me,” Darrell said.

For Darrell, the $100,000 prize already has a practical purpose. He plans to use the winnings to pay off his mortgage.

The winning ticket was purchased at Budget Foods on Cariboo Highway in Clinton, making an ordinary stop in the British Columbia community the beginning of a significant change for Darrell.
